Johnston's A-Level Results

We are delighted with another year of excellent A level results. 42 (27%) students have 3 or more A* and A grades and 17% of all grades are at A*. Our top scorer - Emily Bain - achieved 5 A* grades and 5 students have 4 A* grades. Most of our students have their first choice university places and we are delighted that 7 have Oxbridge places. 47% of our grades are at A* and A compared with a national figure of 26.6%.

Despite a national decline in university applications, Johnston students have continued to aim highly. Several students have secured high-value university sponsorship from international companies and others have successfully applied to overseas universities.

In a year when young people worldwide have set such an example through their performances in the Olympic Games we salute the sustained hard work and determination of all of our students and their teachers. Outstanding results require outstanding commitment and we are proud of all of our students who have done so well.
